Is travelling in your own country considered travelling?

Of course it is!  Especially when you come from a country the size of Canada.  It takes us over 6 hours to fly coast to coast...you can fly back and forth across Europe in the same time.  Coming from the West Coast, I had a great time visiting the Maritimes, especially Nova Scotia.  What a beautiful province!  And the people who live there are lovely.  And who doesn't love lobster!  Nova Scotia is a small province with only 940,000 people, and the crazy thing is that on several times I ran into the same people in different places in the province.  One of my most memorable moments was watching the sunrise on the Pacific Ocean from my bed...that was an experience I received for staying in a $25 yurt.

Hello world...welcome to tales of a girl well travelled!

Travelling...is my passion!
It's an opportunity to see different cultures, meet different people, and enjoy the  unexpected.  The world is a wonderous place, and we need to appreciate all that it has to offer.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to visit almost 30 countries. The length of time I have visited countries has varied from a few hours to a few months, but all are precious.  When I choose which country to visit, my theory is that "any country I haven't been to is a country worth visiting".
Someone just shared this video with me...and I wanted to share it with you! Enjoy!
